Tonight, the Robins lost a hard fought 5-3 battle with the Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs. Despite the loss, the Robins took many positives away from this game, as they showed some real toughness and put together a much better all around effort than the last time they faced the Mustangs. The Mustangs led 2-0 after two periods, and 4-0 just 4 minutes into the third period. With 6 minutes left in the game, the Robins offense finally was able to break through against the tough Mustang defense, and managed to score 3 goals in less than three minutes. The Mustangs finally put it away with a goal late in the final period. The Robins’ goals came from Andy Madson, Ethan Brenna and Harrison Lerner. Assists were credited to Mike Madson and Erin Nickell. Charlie Wittmer stopped 33 of the 38 shots he faced.
